This is my 2nd FJ. My first was a brand new '86 with those fugly 16 in. rims. I love that 17 inch front rim and am planning to get the rear enlarged to 17" x 5.5" without having to modidy the chain clearance and still using the stock rim style. A couple of rim enlarging services can do this now. You can also find more high performance sport touring radials at 17."

I now have a set of 84 carbs I have not yet re jetted. unfortunately it is not possible to swap slides,needles etc.from the 92s'. My next step is to put a stage 3 kit in and then a barnett spring clutch conversion. For years this bike was my daily commuter rain shine cold etc.,from my home in west houston 150 miles round trip to Galveston island. Now sadly I'm only 2 miles from work. I love to thrash back roads or long haul it. My last long trip was dallas to Atlanta for a conference. It was great 12 hours to get there and 10 hours back very comfortably no mechanical problems. It was great to take a day trip to stone mountain in late may. I would like to know if any one with like specs on an 84 AND 92 have any dyno #'s to compare!
